Adjuvant nivolumab improves DFS in patients with resected esophageal cancer following neoadjuvant chemoradiation. In this phase 2 trial, 35 patients with unresectable or inoperable esophageal SCC received definitive chemoradiation 12 months of adjuvant camrelizumab. At 2 years, the rate of PFS was 62.5%, and the rate of OS was 77.7%. The overall rate of disease control was 59.4%. These are favorable outcomes for unresectable disease.
