While not quite as effective as 24 Gy in 12 fractions, 4 Gy in 2 fractions provides favorable local control with a convenience that is hard to beat for palliative cases. This retrospective study asks why not just give more dose in the same 2 fractions? In the study, 121 patients with indolent lymphoma were treated with 4 Gy in 2 fractions or 8 Gy in 2 fractions. Complete response rate at 1 year was significantly higher with 8 Gy (81% v 57%). Local progression was also significantly lower with 8 Gy (7% v 26%). | Burlile, Radiother Oncol 2026
