DEPART was a randomized, phase 2 trial in which 404 hands affected by Dupuytren’s contracture that progressed over 6 months were randomized to receive low dose RT or observation. Low dose RT consisted of 30 Gy in 10 fractions given in a split course with a 4-12 week break midtreatment. This initial report describes toxicity and QOL outcomes. Toxicity was low with mostly grade 1 dermatitis, reduced sweating, or localized edema. The rate of grade 2 toxicity was 7%, and there was no grade 3 or higher toxicity. There was no difference in QOL between arms. We’ll have to wait to see the efficacy outcomes. | Martin, ASTRO 2025
