The American Association for Thoracic Surgery has produced 2023 expert consensus guidelines on the “multidisciplinary management of patients with early-stage non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).” We have to say here that the term “multidisciplinary” was used loosely as the panel was composed of 12 thoracic surgeons and 2 medical oncologists. In fact, a quick ctrl F “radiation” search leaves much to be desired on any mention of the option for definitive ablative radiation for the not uncommon scenario of patients being unwilling to undergo or unfit for a large lung surgery. | Kidane, JTCVS 2023
