Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) of the breast is often lumped in with the much more common invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) out of convenience, but it has a decidedly unique behavior. This SEER analysis indicates premenopausal women with ILC have worse breast cancer specific survival than counterparts with IDC, which may be attributed to significantly more late recurrences. This suggests there may be a unique benefit with longer duration endocrine therapy for premenopausal women with ILC. | Yoon, JAMA Netw Open 2023
