A meta-analysis of 15 prospective trials randomizing patients to +/- local therapy for oligometastases demonstrates such an intervention slashes progression-free (HR 0.48) and overall (HR 0.60) survival events. As seen before, subgroup analyses demonstrated consistent significant benefits for prostate and non-small lung cancers but not breast cancers. Benefits were less clear in oligoprogressive versus upfront or consolidative settings. | Berner-Wygoda, Adv Radiat Oncol 2025
