The phase 3 OASIS-4 trial demonstrated a significant reduction in moderate-to-severe vasomotor symptoms by an average of 3.5 fewer episodes per day at week 4 and week 12 with the use of neurokinin-1/-3 receptor antagonist elinzanetant (aka Veozah) versus placebo among women on endocrine therapy for the treatment or prevention of breast cancer. It’s unclear how this stacks up against other commonly used off-label agents such as SSRIs or gabapentin; nonetheless this presents the clearest efficacy to date of non-hormonal therapy for hot flashes. | Cardoso, N Engl J Med 2025
