A cohort study tried the strategy of neoadjuvant cemiplimab or pembrolizumab for resectable cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. After a median of 3.5 doses, 7 of 19 patients (37%) proceeding to surgery had a pathologic complete response (pCR), much higher than the 2 of 16 patients (13%) achieving a completed radiographic response. And while the pCR rate was lower than some reports, this is excluding 5 patients who declined surgery due excellent clinical responses. | Kim, JAMA Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg 2024
