SBRT for oligometastatic disease has been around for a little while now. SABR-5 was a prospective, phase 2 study of 380 patients treated with SBRT for patients with up to 5 oligometastatic sites. Here we have long term outcomes from SABR-5. The population was mostly made up of those with 1-2 sites (90%) and prostate (32.1%), colorectal (16.2%), or breast cancer (11.1%). Median OS was a whopping 64.6 months, and median PFS was 14.6 months. Local control at 5 years was 85.1%, PFS was 20.3%, and OS was 58.6%. Factors that predicted worse PFS after SBRT included metachronous oligometastatic disease, oligoprogression, lack of initial systemic therapy, large lesion size, and poor performance status. | Leclerc, Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys 2026
