With GLP-1 agonists finally making a dent in rates of obesity, this large retrospective study spanning 14 healthcare organizations across Fl, GA, and AL asked whether they are also making a dent in obesity-related cancers. When comparing >43K users of GLP-1 agonists with matched (read: overweight and obese) non-users, there was indeed a significant reduction in diagnosis of cancer primarily driven by reductions in ovarian cancer (HR 0.53), endometrial cancer (HR 0.75) and meningioma (HR 0.69)—cancers with clear hormonal and metabolic underpinnings. Importantly, these associations held regardless of documented diabetes. | Dai, JAMA Oncol 2025
