Author of the notorious IRRADIaTE study is back to provide more fodder with a similarly-minded commentary. He rests on the fact that cumulative grade 2+ genitourinary events at 10 years was greater than at 5 years–a statistical inevitability–in HYPO-PC-RT to make the bold claim: “the broader contribution of these trials lies in demonstrating, with level-1 evidence, that late GU morbidity is both substantial and progressively accumulative over time, regardless of the fractionation technique.” And we are left musing: How might rates of common grade 2 genitourinary events such as urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction–measured at any time point–accumulate as men age in the decade-plus following prostatectomy..? | Develtere & Bertolo, J Clin Oncol 2026
