Does consolidative thoracic radiation improve survival in the setting of immunotherapy for extensive stage SCLC? This systematic review and meta-analysis pooled data from 20 studies with over 5000 patients treated with chemoimmunotherapy. Consolidative thoracic RT was associated with improved OS (HR 0.57) and PFS (HR 0.53). When looking at specific subsets of metastatic disease, those with brain metastases appeared to particularly benefit from cTRT with significantly better OS. In contrast, those with liver metastases saw no significant benefit from cTRT. | Wrobel, Radiother Oncol 2025
