If performing a pancreaticoduodenectomy (aka Whipple) wasn’t hard enough, surgical oncologists have taken on doing the whole thing laparoscopically. A Chinese noninferiority trial randomized 200 patients to open versus laparoscopic Whipple for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
