Are radiation and immunotherapy effective for advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma? In the phase 2 PERICLES trial, 32 patients with advanced penile cancer were treated atezolizumab, and 20 of those were selected to receive radiation for local control benefit. Unfortunately, the combo didn’t achieve the expected rate of PFS at 1 year (12.5% v 35% expected).
